(547 posts)29. The anti-abortion movement is like a medieval army...
The men are like the knights with the armor and big horses and big swords. The women in the movement are like the local levies, clutching homemade pikes or garden implements. Both are present; and the levies may even outnumber the knights. But there's no mystery where all the "fight" is. Drive off the levies, and the knights will stand and fight to the last man. Kill off the knights, and the levies will run for the hills. Because this is a knight (read male) assertiveness movement.
