I don't think it's crappy journalism. That is what the congregation believes; that homosexual feelings aren't bad if you don't act on them (i.e. live the "lifestyle"
. This is why the gay politician who acts on his feelings clandestinely is not to be condemned as a hypocrite in these circles He disavows the "lifestyle' and is therefore in sync with the antigay sentiment. All is well in their world.
