I think he was aiming for a Trump Tower Moscow, not the presidency, and there was a huge amount of quid pro quo going on towards that end. Not to mention they probably have a lot of compromising info on him. I just don’t think the majority of people will care unless there’s an easily understandable crime to explain the obstruction.

Look at the farmers. He’s ruining them and they’re still largely on board.

And regarding getting more access to documents, I’ve heard both sides of the argument regarding whether impeachment would bring that about. It’s untried, so it’s a question mark. It makes sense to me that the courts would view it that way, but it is untried.

I would like to see an impeachment for ideological reasons, because I do believe our democracy is in danger. We need to make that as plain as we possibly can. I’m just not sure that it will penetrate the fog engendered by Trump, Republicans, and the financial powers. Not unless the financial powers start to perceive him as a threat.
