Dean testified on June 25, 1973, and Butterfield testified on July 13 and again on the 16th, when he revealed the existence of the taping system. Bob Woodward wrote a book about Butterfield, "The Last of the President's Men," which is quite fascinating, and reveals more information about what a weird character Nixon actually was.
