The battle between Pelosi and impeachment [View all]

Speaker Pelosi finds herself in sort of a predicament. There is an increasing demand for impeachment from her caucus. She does not feel that the time is right.

She is not specifically against impeachment but she does not think it wise at this time. She believes that there needs to be more evidence and more justification before they jump into the fire.

The degree of obstruction and the constant breaking of norms is unprecedented. Congress is not accustomed to a White House that challenges subpoenas the way this White House does. They are challenging the very rule of law.

Speaker Pelosi wants the Courts to validate Congress' rights under the balance of powers in our Constitution. There is no guarantee that they will.

But, in my opinion, Speaker Pelosi believes this is a process that we must go thru before they light the fuse.
