the F-22 Raptor the premier fighter jet in the world is having problems and pilots are refusing to fly them because they pass out...contractors are already licking their chops for a new fighter. The F-35 is 100 million a copy that program is expected to end up costing 1 trillion upon completion. There were 13 major flaws in this design and 735 changes made on the assembly line. The problem is the military spends like there is no tomorrow, cost over runs, under budgeting and out and out waste and fraud aren't helping. The Navy has 11 carriers operational, one in reserve and is presently building one and two more are ordered.

An example the army's uniforms don't work...they actually make the soldier better targets.

My point is some of this stuff is just plain crazy. Cutting back and holding contractors to their bids and penalities on overruns would go a long way.
