In reply to the discussion: Jessica Biel Comes Out as Anti-Vaxx Activist [View all]womanofthehills
(11,040 posts)63. Jessica Beal did NOT come out as anti-vax
She is FOR vaccines but she believes a dr must make a determination if children are too fragile or allergic. It's not a one for all.
This week I went to Sacramento to talk to legislators in California about a proposed bill. I am not against vaccinations I support children getting vaccinations and I also support families having the right to make educated medical decisions for their children alongside their physicians, she wrote.
My concern with #SB277 is solely regarding medical exemptions, Biel continued. My dearest friends have a child with a medical condition that warrants an exemption from vaccinations, and should this bill pass, it would greatly affect their familys ability to care for their child in this state. Thats why I spoke to legislators and argued against this bill.

Are you honestly suggesting we shouldn't vaccinate because some people make money on vaccines?

There is room to improve vaccines - HRSA paid out $4,149,443,361.57 for vaccine injury

I think there is a difference between being anti-vax and wanting doctors to have more flexibility

What "more flexibility" do you think is needed when it comes to vaccinations?...

So, it looks like it's not the doctors making the decisions on their patents- it's a health official
