Most of us grew up seeing "We have the right to refuse service to anyone" signs. People believe in them.

But Federal law supersedes state law. Equal Opportunity sez you can't refuse service to an entire class of people.

I'd tend to be a mite more sympathetic if it weren't for the fact these same "Christians" weren't also refusing to serve other groups, past or presently.

I don't support blatant hiding behind religion.
