9. Except cartoons

I remember sometime way back a paper moving Doonesbury to the editorial page because someone apparently felt it was too political for the comic page - Nixon era maybe? But Pogo, loaded with political satire, stayed on the comic page. Maybe just the difference between funny cartoon people and funny cartoon critters.

But the NYT is being ridiculous.
