(7,142 posts)she was doing the financial paper work for my buying a car. We talked about positive thinking and about how positive thoughts lead to better outcomes. I suggested a couple of books for her to read. She then turned religious and told me about her life's history. She told me about her husband losing his job, about how it was God's plan, that she needed to trust what God had in store for her. She moved the conversation to Trump and asked my opinion. I wanted to be polite so I told her about the video evidence of Trump looking at a 10 year old girl and saying that he would be dating her in 10 years. I asked her the question, what kind of person does that, looks at a 10 year old with sexual thoughts. She paused for a short moment, did not answer the question, but moved on to about how well the country is doing under Trump.
She was an extremely "religious" person who believed in pre-destination. She believes that Trump was, no bullshit here, chosen by God. If God was not on Trump's side he would not have been elected president. This is why so many people follow Trump, they do so religiously. Notice my use of the word religious and not Christian.
