5. I am hoping for a spectacular failure!

Weather Channel is predicting 90 degrees and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. If there are thunderstorms in the evening, there will not be any fireworks at all.

Most reasonable people would rather be anywhere else than standing in the sweltering DC heat listening to the insane rantings of a certified lunatic risking the possibility of getting caught in a thunderstorm. I doubt the military jets will fly if it is storming either.

And who the hell wants to see tanks? Am I the only person in the world that thinks that tanks are the least interesting, most ridiculous things to have on display for a holiday that is supposed to be about celebrating our nation's independence, enjoying cookouts with family and friends and watching fireworks at a beach somewhere?
