Slurs on that politicians weight offend some DUers. They're also a shortcut to thinking, as is calling him a "motherfucker." If you use those readily-available slurs, then you don't have to actually think about what it really is about him that is worthy of disgust. That lets you post something quickly and without really thinking about it.

That's not a very attractive attribute for a poster on DU. Thinking about posts and saying something that is actually to the point and directly pertinent to a particular public figure's positions is far more attractive, and will result in positive responses from your fellow DUers. Simplistic, thoughtless slurs will not have that effect, but will, instead, annoy the crap out of people who are offended by those slurs.

It's your choice, really. How would you prefer your posts to be received?
