I think it becomes a lot less likely if you go in as a freakin' billionaire who was paying off 14-16 year old girls for sex.

It's not going to inspire the same widespread hatred that an actual pedophile (esp. a gay one, I would wager) of a regular income ... would ... is my only-slight educated guess.

People in prison tend to be pretty pragmatic, and money is king in prison. As is being able to offer other prisoners help on their cases, which Epstein definitely could.

Hell, he could probably acquire a set of bodyguards just in exchange for telling them bedtime stories re: his exploits, I hate to say.
