Then the larger organization influences the local pastors. It is usually never an open discussion of politics, and they will claim it is only a discussion of the "issues". But the discussion is primarily abortion, and then possibly about how the country "went to hell" in 1964 because of decisions about prayer in school (as if it was a paradise before).
We were attending a church where the pastor and wife (both African-American) were invited to a conference by the Copelands and came back trying to convince the church to vote against Obama. That was our last day there.
