I live in Goldsboro nearby for the past 3 years, having moved from New Jersey. I honestly have not seen any outward acts of racism since I have been here. My neighborhood is integrated and I have not seen anything other than polite and respectful exchanges between white and black people since I moved here. To be honest, I saw and heard more overt racism in New Jersey than here in North Carolina. I don't know - maybe it is just silent, but I was pleasantly surprised.
