One night there was a horrible car accident, a man was brought in who was in grave condition. He got his first blood transfusion right after he arrived. Shortly after that his wife arrived and made a huge scene about making sure that blood was "white". I had to deal with her and I told her "no it is red, everyone's blood is red". She lost it, we had to have security contain her because she was trying to keep them from hanging another unit of blood in the ER screaming we were giving him the wrong blood. This was in Illinois by the way.
