'Some important news from Adam’s district: A wealthy, Trump-loving Republican just filed to run against Adam in 2020.

And on the first day of his campaign, our new opponent decided his first stop should be a far-right, pro-Trump news network that is known to push wacky conspiracy theories to attack Adam with a bunch of smears that would make the President proud.

He called Adam a national disgrace and a liar. He claimed Adam is trying to cover-up the “crimes” and “Russian collusion” of Hillary Clinton and the DNC. He spread vicious and hurtful conspiracy theories about a tragically murdered DNC staffer. And he said Adam is on a mission to hold Donald Trump accountable.

Okay, he’s actually right about that last part, but the rest of it? It’s a sad demonstration of the Trumpification of the Republican party.

Attacks from the fringe are not anything new for Adam, but we have to take this seriously for one simple reason. Our new opponent is wealthy and he has a history of spending hundreds of thousands of his own money trying to buy elections.
