1. We just spent a part of the last two days in VA

including driving through the district that is the subject of this state Senate race, and it was remarkable to NOT see a single sign, bumper sticker, TV ad, or anything else mentioning an election that is less than four months away.

Now, I've lived on the East Coast since 2007, and I know that back in Washington State, people got their signs, stickers, etc. out there early, but unless things heat up a bit more in the next couple of months, I am not seeing a lot of enthusiasm at this point.
