17. I agree that there is a enormous gulf between the Democratic and Republican parties.

The Republicans has abandoned all pretense of civility, cooperation, and respect for the Democrats, and for any Americans who are not right wing white and Christian.
The Democrats may have their problems, but they are much more inclined to embrace the vast majority of all Americans regardless of racial, ethnic, social, or religious differences.

To put them both in the same category is simply, flat-out wrong.
