In reply to the discussion: Call For Trump's Resignation..... [View all]global1
(26,507 posts)Keep the pressure on him to resign - even if we know he won't. Him being on the defensive - having to protect himself from a myriad of accusations listed in my OP - will take away the time from him being able to campaign.
Such pressure on him will also open the eyes of the American People - and hopefully that would translate into the American People coming out in record numbers to vote this guy out of office.
Maybe we'll be able to impeach Trump in the House - but - Moscow Mitch and the Repugs will circle the wagons around Trump and protect him from being convicted in the Senate and ousted from office. I'm not saying that we shouldn't move on impeachment - but what I'm saying is this is like a war on Trump and we have to open many fronts which he and his Party have to defend. We need to wear them down. We need to continually keep them on the defensive by keeping the pressure on him/them. Calling for his resignation is just another one of those fronts in the war against Trump and the Repugs.
I especially think that Trump's sexual predatory habits is one of the areas that the Repugs won't be able to protect Trump from. Greater men than Trump have fallen to the MeToo movement and accusations of sexual assault. Trump is an admitted sexual offender. Grabbing; peeping; feeling; raping. He's been accused of them all.
Mitch might be able to protect Trump from 'Russian collusion' and 'obstruction of justice' but it's harder for him and the Repugs to protect Trump from all of Trump's sexual accusations.
I'm saying - don't give Trump the light of day to detract, feed us more lies and incite more violence. Keep him on the defensive. Tie him up with all those things that he has to defend himself on. We have the goods on this guy. Why aren't we using them?
