Clint Eastwood is being brought in for damage control. The GOP has been in the headlines constantly with lunatic rantings by Conservatives and arrogant and out of touch statements by Romney. Now they are grappling to appear more "moderate". They are trying to put a more moderate yet dominant Republican speaker up there to "prove" that they are not all loonies.

Sort of a Reagan strategy without Reagan.
