1) Epstein got caught. He pleaded guilty. He was, officially, a sex offender. Every headline or picture caption Trump would share with Epstein going forward would include those words -- "sex offender" -- and Trump didn't want people to think of those words when they thought of Donald Trump (no matter how much he deserved it; actually, specifically because he deserved it). Trump's ego would not allow the bright, brilliant star that is Donald Trump (obvious 
) to be sullied by the association.
2) Epstein tried to groom the daughter of a Mar-a-Lago member. That by itself Trump probably didn't give a shit about. But the member complained, in person, to Trump. THAT Trump cared about. So Trump showed Epstein the door.
