One thing the #MeToo twitter thread made me realize is how many women's lives were derailed by assault-- they had fears of going out after that, their relationships broke up, they dropped out of school-- everything got harder. And many men don't realize that-- it's not a single event, but for many women, it's a destructive experience that makes the rest of life that much more difficult.
(And when I'm really cynical, I think, "Well, that's convenient for the great majority of men who AREN'T abusers, maybe, but unwittingly benefit from lesser competition from women who won't take the physical and emotional risks they might have had they not been assaulted."
So this turd-- and that's unfair to turds, I know-- is telling women (and girls) to suck it up because rape and incest are actually good for the nation?
Maybe he's going to recommend Epstein for a posthumous medal.
