3. They're conservatives. That's all, and it's a huge part of who they are.

Mr Lebowski is right that both are genetically linked, though from what I've read environment is also huge, often far stronger in determining behaviors, even though the basic personality traits remain.

As I'm guessing we see here. LGBT are a very small percentage of the population and easily discriminated against, but probably close to half of them are naturally conservative. Yet most of those clearly prefer to identify and align with the largest group who share their huge cultural issue, and that group maximizes their power from within the great Democratic Party alliance.

But these chose to work for their issues from the right, where in normal times they'd be desperately needed. Support for Trump requires abandoning morals, decency, intellect, though, so I'm guessing Log Cabiners tend to be at least strong conservatives and/or inimical to Democrats/liberals to be able to. No matter what excuses they give.
