(114,010 posts)23. People don't think. As during CO's past seasons of horrific wildfires, some DUers decided "to hell
with Colorado Springs" because of the FUNDY RW and heavily conservative politics. Likewise for other areas of Colorado that some assumed were all populated with multimillion-dollar mansions as with some areas of Aspen and Vail. People, REGULAR people--typically the less mobile elderly-- died in some of those fires as did countless wildlife and some pets and livestock!
Bottom line, don't wish harm on anyone and you won't be the recipient of chastisement and embarrassment.
If Mar a Lago was flattened with not a bit of damage to surroundings or people or animals, it might sound tempting to hope for. But if you don't think the taxpayers would get stuck paying for it via FEMA, you've not been paying attention.

Trump would want a direct hit, it gives him a chance to fraudulently file FEMA damage claims.

Vocally hoping for harm to come to others hurts them. I would not say it DOES NOTHING...

I don't want it to hit anywhere. My cousin's house was ruined by hurricane Michael.

Some at Maralago, I assume, are good people; the maintenance and food service staff in particular.
