(1,399 posts)As someone who considers myself to be a Christian (Roman Catholic), I think that it would be easy for me to say that these individuals are not "real" Christians - but I also think that this would be dishonest and dangerous to do so.
To me, a Christian is someone who believes in the divinity of Christ...so if they hold that belief, then they are real Christians.
The question then becomes, how do you live your life and treat others based on that belief? Does that belief cause you to see others as inferior? Does it cause you to hate and exclude others?
Or does it prompt you to care and reach out to others? To show love and concern, rather than scorn and contempt?
That is why I firmly believe that if there is a god, he/she/it cares less about WHAT we believe, but rather how we treat others.
Anyway, those are just my thoughts.
