But I know fabrics and basic dressmaking techniques.

The sleeves of her top are broad flounces cut on the bias. The point of cutting fabric on the bias is to highlight the draping, flowing quality of the cloth. This material has very little drape to maximize.

Note the section of the hem on the peplum of her top that has been blown up by the wind. See the ragged edge? You would expect to see that on the hem of a pair of old jeans, not a dress worn to any sort of formal occasion.

The color is perfect for a World War II reenactment of the storming of Omaha Beach. Mind you, there are some people whose coloring might be flattered by such a shade; Ms. Trump is not one of them.

So to sum up, the fabric is wrong for the design, the construction is terrible, and the color may be useful for covering up pea soup vomit stains.
