(11,045 posts)29. Since the sentence is under a year and a day, he will spend his time in a county jail.
County jails are generally much better places than prisons in Florida.
Perhaps, I hope, some one or organization will help this man to transition into a home, a job, and whatever help he needs to go on when he gets out.

on probation for one count of retail petty theft. $500,000 bail & 6 months in jail. for a $2 crime

the earlier crime he was on probation for was stealing tuna fish. "petty retail theft" the charge.
