2. Turnout at the polls of independents and other non-Trump constituencies (a.k.a., the empathy factor).
3. The energy level of Trump supporters and the impact of closeted Trumpers (i.e., people who poll as opposed to Trump, but who'll vote for Trump in the secrecy of the voting booth).
4. The effectiveness of voter the suppression protocol implemented by Republican states over the last several years. (The cumulative number of people purged from voter rolls is now in the millions.)
5. Wag-the-dog scenarios in-waiting. What emergencies will Trump manufacture to destabilize the democratic process next year?
6. The impact of the judiciary as Trumps nominees come to dominate the federal judicial climate.
Many on DU said Hillary had it in the bag when Trump became the R-nominee. It was unthinkable that this unseemly man could beat a seasoned leader.
I said we can't trust Republicans any further than we can throw them and that we were counting our chickens before they were hatched.
I've learned the hard way to never say "it's over" or "we won" until the votes are counted and our candidate is picking the White House china.
These Republicans are too clever, corrupt and morally compromised. We can't rest - or say anything that would keep anyone home on election day - until we've actually won.
