(1,989 posts)I found every given opportunity to disrespect George Bush. I laughed until I cried at him ducking and dodging shoes flying through the air. I said horrible things about him and heard horrible things about him...and the only people who whined in protest were Republicans. I thought them thin skinned.
I felt his grasp of the English language surprisingly lacking to be from such a wealthy and educated family.
I'm sorry. I'm the wrong one to nitpick a stupid skit made by an old man on a stage who could barely get the words out without his voice quavering. I could barely understand him half of the time.
The skit made him look bad. I do not believe its intent was racist. I do not believe he was wishing bodily harm to the President of the United States of America. I believe he does not want people voting for the President. He wants him to leave the stage...his performance to end, he wants him to be fired. To make this out to be anything more than that is futile in my personal opinion.
If we want this President re-elected we have more problems than this old, no longer relevant, actor.
I feel like we're focusing on vacuuming the carpet while the house has started to burn down.
Just me, though.
