They spent millions to stop Merrick Garland and they see that packing the courts is their way
to keeping power despite the demographic changes.

Before he was acting A.G. Mathew Whitaker was working with the Judicial Crisis Network
to stop Merrick Garland. I believe the amount of money they spent was $18 million so spending
$1,500,000 to pay off Kavanaugh debts and mortgage is just pocket change to the likes of
the Kochs and the Mercers.

To my knowledge there's nothing that says a supreme court judge can't be indicted, tried and convict
