The Republican Party of Sarasota County awarded real estate tycoon and TV personality Donald Trump with its “Statesman of the Year” award at the Republican Convention Kick-Off dinner hosted (Sunday August 26) by the Sarasota County Republican Party dinner. The award is given each year by the local club and the dinner serves as a fundraiser.
