Reagan slashing the top marginal tax rates on wealthy people and corporations, breaking the taxation system that had been there from FDR till the B actor got in. Reagan also doing away with the long time Fairness Doctrine....which gave us Fox News, Limbaugh and other far right Media.

So old Ronnie really started this ball rolling. Eisenhower saw this coming as he outlined in his farewell speech as he was exiting the White House. It is worth watching.

Some other resources are the docs “Inside Job” and “Why We Fight” , Jane Mayer’s book “Dark Money” among others.

We are in a pickle.
