He theorized that after the Ukraine told Trump to pound sand, Trump then promised Putin that Russia could increase military operations in Ukraine and there would be no sanctions.

That's another poster's theory, but I'm excited about it because the first two steps have panned out. It also fits with what we know about how Ukraine would respond to being blackmailed. And now you've got the White House and Giuliani trying to front-run this thing and make it sound completely normal.
