In reply to the discussion: Ocasio-Cortez: Democratic refusal to impeach Trump is a 'bigger scandal' than Trump's lawbreaking [View all]dansolo

Forget about Mitch McConnell and the Senate. If an impeachment vote were to happen today, it will not take even pass. Apparently AOC wants Nancy Pelosi to threaten House members who don't currently support impeachment. That is not how she operates. If AOC really wants to be a leader, than she should be using her platform to focus her attacks on the Republicans. Notice how she never points out that only a single Republican has publicly supported impeachment. If she wants to push for impeachment, then the argument should be made to the constituents of Congressional members that are still on the fence.
How does AOC expect people to support a Democratic party led impeachment effort when her message is that Democrats are worse than Trump?

Choosing to do something when it will have actual real effect is not "refusing" to do it.
