64. So... Archie Bunker, then. I had my mother repeat a Fox News conspiracy theory about Barrack Obama

in front of me when I was visiting them. Allegedly, he was "taking 40 planes to India" or some shit, and spending so much money on expensive hotels for his buddies that it was going to cost more than the Afghanistan war cost us per day. It originated out of an Indian blogger and right wing media just ran with it... all the way to Fox News.

I desperately tried to de-bunk them on the spot with my iPad. I pulled up a CNN video and my dad looked at me like I was an idiot or something. He listens to Rush Limbaugh. Then I literally went into another room and Googled, "help my parents are republican." LOL.

I don't talk to them anymore but there was a lot of family issues when I was younger so this was really just the last straw for me. Two of their 3 kids are gay, I should mention. Republicans would still like to erase us if they had their way.
