it almost happened to me in Amsterdam after a 9 day art intensive winding up in the Van Gogh Museum standing in front of one of his wheat fields with crows...I had a quietly tearful melt down...
I do know that the Bruges Madonna had been hauled away by the German army shortly before one of the Allies Monument Men raced into the church...they were too late, but of course it was later recovered...what a story...
