Jobs numbers out next Friday...thoughts? [View all]

Well, another month has ended, which means another jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is due the Friday after the month. You can look up about 75 years worth of such reports here: http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0000000001?output_view=net_1mth

I think there will still be net job growth as there has continually been since Oct. 2010. Question is, better, worse, or same as the 163,000 jobs created in July? Most likely the unemployment rate (currently 8.2%) might be the same or drop just 0.1%. These numbers will determine how many people will vote based on Reagan's mantra "A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours."
