The Russia/campaign stuff was much more convoluted and indirect. Here we have his own words directly acknowledging he broke the law and violated his oath of office. That's what every prosecutor and jury is relieved to see because it makes it easy to understand -- a confession.

Plus, unlike when he was a candidate, even some Repukes acknowledge that *now* he has responsibilities and duties as POTUS which apparently in their minds a "mere" candidate does not.
