Secretary Clinton has put both the Russians and the press on notice. She did it early, she did it in way that takes the heat off the Democrats who are running and thus understandably reluctant to voice possible concerns about Russian machinations, and she did it obliquely, without naming a name.
A New York Times story that raised questions about Tulsi last week got little to no traction. The same can be said of an NBC News Report last February, a followup piece in The Independent, and all the speculation concerning the Russian bot activity following Tulsi's dissembling attack on Senator Harris.
Thanks to Secretary Clinton, any possibility that Tulsi (who just 10 days ago was accusing the DNC of rigging debates) will launch a third party campaign has been seriously diminished. Hopefully, any candidate who does so will now draw increased scrutiny concerning the possibility of Russian interference and sabotage.
Secretary Clinton learned the lessons of 2016 well, even if the press and pundits haven't. She's doing everything she can to make sure that the Democrats win the White House in 2020, even if it invites the ridicule of the Jake Tappers and Chuck Todds of the world.
After all, it was they who missed the biggest story of a generation last time around.
And it was Hillary Clinton who didn't.
Thanks Hillary.
