the technologists (of which I'm one) are the enablers, and frequently knowing ones.

Still the reason for investigating one particular target(s) is fed with the funds to do this operation. Those funds are provided by interested parties, not technologists.

The technologists are very similar to the old-school lobbyists. For Sale, No Questions Asked.
