(1,973 posts)LIL DONNIE AT THE BAT by W Earl Brown
The outlook wasnt brilliant for the Traitorous nine that night;
as they strode in late, a strutting, chest-puffing sight.
With McCarthys lips orange-stained and Scalises the same,
a mighty roar began to grow among the patrons of the game.
Something very big has just happened tweeted in expectation;
a terrorist vanquished brought dreams of adulation.
Trump was sure to be held high up on the Jumbotron,
raucous cheers were sure to shower down upon Lil Don.
But an immigrant sang the Anthem, bringing the crowd to its feet.
Twere an ominous premonition before Donny took his seat.
So upon that stricken multitude grim melancholy sat,
with Schadenfreude in the On Deck, readying his mighty bat.
The camera found its bounty as announcer keyed his mic,
the time to smile and gloat was now directly in his sight.
Visions of Glory danced in Lil Donnies head,
the self-aware few near him became suddenly filled with dread.
As their visage flashed large upon the huge screen,
the multitudes saw through them, saw the grandstanding scheme.
Billion dollar smiles turned sour the moment it turned clear;
they were not welcomed in this glorious World Series year.
Arm Candys smiles and Donnies wave were quickly replaced
by sullen visage as Blue Steel appeared upon their face.
Toady Gaetz loudly yelled, hoping Lil Donnie wouldnt hear,
a fifty-thousand strong, oh-so-mighty jeer.
An Heros Welcome was a fools game plan,
after his crimes and treason had been exposed to man.
It pained him worse than fastball to the cup,
as the many Mighty Americans round him chanted Lock Him Up
They saw his face grow stern and cold, they saw his muscles strain,
as Schandenfreude smacked a four-bag-dinger yet again.
The sneer is gone from Dons lip, his teeth are clinched in hate;
a Twitter tantrum soon coming as he hurls White House plates.
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in MAGAville Lil Donnie has struck out.
