Ballots are about to be printed and it is too late to make changes in many states. They could stage a write-in campaign for someone else, but good luck finding a candidate who all Republicans can agree on at this late stage. It is not easy to convince over 50% of Americans to write in the same name on the ballot especially when about 50% is already comitted to Obama. Romney is the GOP's only hope and every day seems to bring a new disaster for him.
