In reply to the discussion: John Pavlovitz: This Isn't Christianity [View all]patphil
(6,158 posts)28. Not all Christians are bad, just some of them, but they were usually the ones who called the shots.
It seems to be a rule throughout history that the ones who most desire money, power, and control are the very ones who should never have it.
This is true in Government, Business, and Religion.
Every major religion has been co-opted by dark ones. Unfortunately the good catholics, christians, jews, muslims, hindus, and every other major religion end up following these people.
Blind faith is not a good thing, but it doesn't make you a bad person.
It just makes you a bad judge of character.
People need to be vigilant and discerning.
Special clothing, titles, and ceremonies don't make a leader worthy of being followed.
It's the love in their hearts that they should be judged by.

It's fair to say Christianity wouldn't exist today were it not such an effective means of control
