. . . is actually pretty awesome.
They have emergency medical and trauma capabilities on site, including examination rooms, a basic pharmacy, a crash cart. They have about 24 total staff, including doctors, nurses, PAs and medics. They have a *full* pharmacy and surgical suite on Air Force One, and they make sure that an operating room is no more than a few minutes away from wherever POTUS is, or they set one up themselves for as long as he's there.
In short, pretty much anything POTUS needs, at least for urgent care, is available in-house.
So why did the motherfucker go to Walter Reed?
A partial physical? Bullshit. Even those without medical knowledge know that physicals don't work that way.
Routine tests? Maybe, but reports are that the visit wasn't on the schedule as of the previous evening, and that he was complaining of chest discomfort at Walter Reed.
One scenario, probably the best one (from the MF's perspective), is that he was having some lousy indigestion, and wasn't content with the WHMU's diagnosis (because he knows more than any so-called "doctor," right?), so he insisted on Walter Reed for advanced tests or whatever. They humored him, and they made up the partial physical bullshit so that he wouldn't look weak. I can't rule this out, but Stephanie Graham's admonition that speculation beyond the official story is "dangerous for the country" sets off my bullshit detector. Don't question my health OR ELSE! is not the position of a healthy MF, or a healthy MF's spokesthing.
Another, more hopeful scenario, is that he's having heart problems, and the tests coming back today will confirm that.
A third, even more hopeful scenario, is that it's part of a ruse to give himself a medical excuse to resign.
Dare we dream?
