(1,207 posts)39. Xers were dealt a double/triple whammy. 2/3rds the size of Boomers...
...and 2/3rds the size of Millenials, called slackers/losers in media (we embraced it to a degree), had parents divorce in never before seen waves, the first "modern" generation to be told we'd never get to where the Boomers/parents were, typical "youth suck" issues compounded by demographic real issues.
Then once we got solidly into the workforce, and started advancing, Boomers wouldn't fucking RETIRE! By the time they started FINALLY aging out Millennials were competing with Xers for the same shit. No traditional generational leadership handover. By the time we get ready for SS the Boomers will have probably sucked the system dry...
So I dig OK Boomer.
