for what you think are inaccuracies in my post #15. When I wrote that I had not seen what the manager said, but I am addressing the officer being apologized to by the barista. In the NYT story the officer is quoted as saying the employee contacted him and said it was a joke. This has been used as proof that the barista confessed and my position is that it is not. With that in mind I asked the person who said they would go with the barista's apology what the apology they are going by said. Neither myself or the person who I was questioning were refering to the manager because we didn't know there was a manager involved.
Again, I have read the piece on the manager and I understand she indicated a barista was responsible for the cup label(s). That means that we still haven't heard from the offending employee, presumably the one the officer was contacted by.
