To outdo one another with delusional outrage so Hannity will play a clip of them ranting?

Or maybe:
-To score points with their boss, the “imperfect vessel sent by God to do His work here in earth”? (Pardon me while I chug a bottle of Maalox.)

-To be heard by their superannuated constituents?

-To just bark at the moon?

-Or are they just plain, flat-out insane?
