2. This is the problem with the idea of the election saving America.

If Trump is corruptly acquitted that may lead to his defeat in the 2020 election. The next Democratic president would restore order. But what about the next Republican president? He would be able to do what Trump did. It is possible even a Democratic president may be corrupted by the precedent Trump has put in place.
