I live in the country, and if you don't have a cat, you can be overrun with mice. Mice are smart and will soon learn to avoid any solution you can devise to save yourself. You need that cat.

My presents come to me with their heads removed. Cats eat the head first, and then leave the rest for you. How sweet, but I haven't eaten one yet.

One of my terribly old cats will scream with excitement while she brings in the corpse, but then lately she is bringing me toys or objects she finds, screaming like they are a mouse. Trying to tell me something, I guess...
